My little Harmony has either a severe water infection or bladder stones, I am seriously hoping for the first. Her only symptom in blood in her wee but lots of it, her wee is completely red:(:(, other than that she is fine, eating well running around.

Just wondering if there is anything I can do to help her? I have already put her a bowl of water in as well as her bottle to try and encourage her to drink more. She is also having more watery veg.

Also I'm thinking it won't be good news for her if she has bladder stones :(:(.

Sorry I cant suggest anything as I haven't dealt with UTI or bladder stones before

( ( BIG HUG ) ) get well soon Harmony

you can try syringing canberry jucie to her unsweetened around 40ml a day, as she been on antibiotics yet? best one to try is seprum..

is she wheeking when she wees? and pooping? does she seem thin on her back end?

these are signs of bladder stones along with strainning! plus weeing blood

my guinea pig was weeing pure blood 3 wks ago so i but her on seprum and touch wood she is fine now, avoid kale, to much cabbage, spinich, as these can make it worse IF it is bladder stones, does she seem fluffed up?

if none of the above i would put it down to a water infection/kidney infection

if she keeps getting bladder problems it will be worth putting her on cystease meds at a dose of half a capsule every day dissolved in 1ml of water and syringed x

You could also try syringing her water which will also help to flush the bladder out along with the cranberry juice.

Next time Harmony has a wee, you can rub it between your thumb and finger and see if it feels gritty. This can indicate bladder sludge or grit.

Sending lot's of healing vibes and hugs x

Awww hope she gets better soon, get well vibes from me and the boys xxxxx

My piggy has a UTI at the moment. The vet put him on 0.2ml of baytril per day and i also have given him probiotics and he seems to be recovering nicely.

I was really worried when i saw the blood in my piggys wee aswell but it isnt anything to serious.

As for kidney stones when i was at the vet they just seemed to feel his belly for them and he didnt find anything.

:) hope Harmony gets well soon xox

Oh no, not Harmony! Bless her. I hope it isn't stones, an x-ray is a must of course to rule out stones, otherwise Septrin and an anti-inflammatory (e.g. Metacam / Rimadyl) and lots of fluids is in order.

Sending love to Harmony from me, Elijah and Errol. xx
