Poor baby has a gurgling tummy, sounds a little hollow, so to be on the safe side I have just popped to chemist and given him some gripe water and buscopan will treat him and see how it goes. He is eating normally, pooping thousands of poops and seems himself, just going to rest him for half a hour then massage his tummy, not overly concerned just treating as a precaution don't want it to develop in to anything x

Oh dear poor Harold. Try and keep him moving if you can, if it's only mild it should hopefully disperse the gas quite quickly.

I think the chemist lady is now convinced I am loony rushing in at 8pm for things for my piggy LOL, as I say not majorly concerned as he is not depressed so caught it quick x

Best of luck - please see a vet asap if his condition worsens or he goes off his food; real bloat is not something you can wait for over a weekend; it can kill.

Stay off all fresh food for the time being until his guts are OK again. Hopefully, it's just a tummy upset. Perhaps you can make some herbal tea from c-*-m-i-n seed - on the Continent we use it with cabbage to keep the bloating down. Sorry, the powers that be don't seem to like that word!

Yea I have taken veggies and readigrass out for now just pellets and hay for now, and I will give him one of my vit c tablets to compensate

Perhaps you can make a tisane (herbal tea) by steeping some c-*-m-i-n seeds in boiling water and syringe the fluid when it has cooled - on the Continent we use it to flavour cabbage because of its anti-bloating qualities. Sorry, the powers-that-be REALLY don;t like that word!

Fennel tea may also help with colics.

Gentle massages on the belly may also help.

That's really interesting Wiebke, I didn't know that!

Have you got a vibrating massage mat? If you sit him on it for a bit that may help, so I've heard. Hope he feels better soon :)

Nope but the guru reccomends them so am going to order one just massaging him at the min. I can feel the gas moving around as I massage so that's a good sign

Thanks Wiebke, I will get some fennel tea tomorrow, I don't have any in but for time being its gripe water and buscopan. Will also look in to the c-*-m-I-n seeds many thanks for tips all xx

if all else fails the downward dog yoga pose is also good... good luck in getting Harold to partake!

:))

Sending wheeky well wishes to Harold

If you drive, try a trip out in the car with him. Try and find a cobbled road, I've found that to work before.

As previously said, if it doesn't get any better, definitely see a vet.

Healing vibes being sent.

Harold is less Rumbly and tight today, still holding off his veggitibles (much to his disgust) he still drinking and eating hay and pellets normally and pooping, and jumping around asking for veggies but I am going to hold them back till he stops rumbling keeping up with the gripe water regularly and giving him buscopan twice a day, darned Piggies always worrying us with something LOL

I was just going to bump this & ask how he was today? Thank goodness he's okay! :)

Well no need for vets today, Harolds tummy seems normal, have introduced his readigrass back today and will add a few bits of veggies gradually for a couple of days.
