my boys at it again he keeps climbing the grids in his run over to next doors, they dont mind having him drop in but he is leaving behind a lonely friend , Harvey has done this before and I sat and watched him do it as i could'nt believe he could do it, but he climbs on the fiddle stx and grips top rung with teeth then literally pulls himself up and flings him self over, he did it twice today so fiddle stx moved and double layer of grids put in to stop him getting a grip, but why do I have the feeling the little monkey will be next door tomorrow morning

got up this morning to yet again find him in next doors run, put him back twice while in the shed and sat and watched the little so and so jump into the corner and wiggle his way over, amazing so have now left him the others dont mind but poor scrappy is alone
has any one else had this problem

Is it the sows that, he is getting in with or simply other boars Michelle? Obviously if it is sows it is the smell that attracts him.
If boars, maybe he is just bored and curious to see if the grass is greener on the otherside ::)

I had one rescue baby boar who could climb like a monkey, I just made sure that he was in a secure closed top pen. Problem solved :)

no I thought you knew my boys and girls are in different sheds thats why I can keep them as i do in trios etc mind you Harveys now made it 4 in a run, luckly its the biggest run, I could not believe he did it , hes done it before but thought he had got over it, he is half monkey I think like your boar Barbara,
I do have 2 boys in the girls sheds but they are very laid back cool fellers floo sits staring at the girls and albie could'nt care less, they cannot get to them as they are in a high metel run with a roof over top ,

you will not believe what I found this morning in the boys shed, Harvey had got out of his run which is about 2 and half foot off the ground on a shelf with 2 fixed roof grids and one lying on it for ease of feeding etc, he had managed to jump out of the top into the baby boys run underneath him but the roof one he got out was above the next run so I have no idea how he did it, the babys were crowding round him and he looked quite unsure of the 3 of them lol serves him right, but cannot now think of how to keep him in his run he wants company but can be a bully, not fighting but bossy, any ideas ??
