I've recently discovered the benefits of noodle mats for my boys, easy to clean, soft and absorbant and easy to switch in between full cage cleans.

Two mats cover the main living areas but I wondered whether I could cut a mat into two to cover a pee corner. Has anyone tried this?

I haven’t done it personally but I have seen others do it and it was fine. I think just check for any loose threads or parts to make sure it’s safe.

It would probably work. As above I’d watch for the threads. Maybe you could fold it under and stitch it somehow.

I love noodle bath mats, but haven’t attempted cutting any, we just fold to fit. Let us know how it goes!

What about folding it in half? If you have a sewing machine or good at hand sewing small stitches then you could then stitch together for double absorbency? I wouldn’t cut into them though, they will fray when you wash them

I'm watching with interest too. I did find one that was 50 x 50cm, it's brilliant for the smaller awkward bits of the cage but they only had one and other than some very expensive ones on ebay I can't find more.
I'm really sold on these mats now. Caspy's feet don't get red and sore like they did with fleece. Vet bed squares where he sits the most and noodle mats in the cage have done the trick!

Have you tried looking at car wash mitts or a dusting mitt? Those are smaller and they have the noodle bits on them.
