Once of mine gets sore back feet from time to time and it has been far worse since she has been on fleece (changed daily). I just wondered if it was a coincedence or not.
She's not all that active at the moment, as she's suffering with the dreaded bladder issues, so that's not going to be helping matters. She's also quite stained from incontinence, so I'm going to try to give her a little wash today.
I'm using newspaper and Megazorb underneath. The fleece is keeping lovely and dry and I'm changing them every day to keep things as clean s possible.
This morning I've put the Happy Soles ointment on one foot and vitamin E oil on the other to see which helps most (since I'm not getting the improvement I'd like so far with the Happy Soles).
The sore feet are probably related to the incontinence and UTIs more than the fleece, especially since the fleece is so dry. Fingers crossed either the Happy Soles or the Vitamin E oil works!
Gucci is on vetbed and gets sore, flaky back feet that look red. I always assumed it was because she's a skinny and so prone to dry skin. I use E45 applied straight after a bath while skin is still damp and it usually clears by the following day
