Tiger has lice - for his weight (1.1kg) it says to apply 15 drops which seems like a lot to me.. has anyone else used it and applied this much?

Just been to check the poor little fella - he is still crawilng despite his shampoo last night. :'(

Sorry love i can't help with the dosage etc.... just wanna say we've got our paws crossed for the little guy :smitten: :smitten:

btw why don't you email Vedra or pm our mods who've got the best experience of these things O0 O0 O0 O0

btw sending YOU hugs too :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:, i know how worried you'll be :-\ :-\ :-\

One of the best treatments for lice is GG shampoo and melt.Email Chrissie and she will advise you the best product.Chrissie answers her emails promptly and her products arrive within a couple of days,or you can arrange for next day delivery.

I do not think Spot on is suitable for gps,Zeno is better .You can get this from your vet. The dose for Zeno is one pippette which contains about 5 drops.
Ivermectin is not affective against lice anyway, but ther gg product is.

I've used spot on on Trixy and I've forgotten the exact dosage but I remeber it being about that much and she was fine.

Same here I've used it on Sunshine as I wasn't sure if he had the mites from Cuzzy. It was about that much. It depended on weight so I think was around 15 spots of the stuff.

The spot on stuff is messy and a bit hit and miss in my opinion.

I'm another Gorgeous Guineas fan - have found nothing better for treating creepy crawlies!

Edited to add....

If you want something you can buy and use straight away Lyclear cream shampoo from the chemist is also very good - give one bath straight away then another a week later incase any eggs have been lurking. I used Lyclear a lot before I found Lice and Easy from GG and also had no problems with it.

Ivermectin products such as Spot On and Zeno 45o are not affective against lice.

Spot on is formulated for dogs and cats, but the Zeno 450 I use is made for small animals.

But it says the Spot on is poisonous to cats... so it can't be formulated for them.

It says for use on small mammals, rabbits & g.pigs..

Which spot on is it you are talking about? There's one made by Beaphar (safe but an underdose and not effective against lice) and one made by Bob Martin (wouldn't touch with a barge pole). The only thing I've found effective on lice is GG Lice n Easy!
