Just wondered if any one had any thoughts on using it?
(Plus the firm I work for collects from Heygates so I can get this at a discount price)

I've not and I wouldn't try it. It's not just about the vitamin c but the nutritional requirements of piggies and rabbits are very different so I would doubt that this would meet a piggies needs. You would be better sticking to one designed with piggies in mind

I'd agree with Lady Kelly on this, it's best to stick to a piggy made pellet :)

Plus I'd generally go for something more grass based, looking at the ingredients it looks mainly cereal based. Ideally you want something that's mostly grass, herbs etc and I couldn't see any grass in the vague ingredients listed on their website.

Definitely not something I'd feed personally. There's a great pellet thread in the food section that might help if you're looking for a new nugget :) What are you feeding at the moment?

Vitamin c for rabbits? That would be enough to put me off using it.

Agree with what has already been said.

I did wonder that.

Generally anything that says "cereals" puts me off as it basically just means "cheap ingredients that aren't benificial" when it comes to animal foods, which is used as a cheap filler in an alarming amount of animal feeds.

I've got them some Burgess excel nuggets with mint and will try them with that. Any other recommendations to try?

I'm giving mine that. They seem to like it. They were given a muesli before they were rescued.

With the rescue piggies we have a variety of nuggets but I always find the Burgess with mint go down well with all piggies.

I feed my own piggies grain free pellets - they love Versele Laga pellets and the JR farms grain free pellets.

Mine love Harringtons. I have tried others including muesli but they prefer Harringtons so I have just stuck with them. They were on P@H muck when I got them. I soon changed that.

I used to use Burgess but switched to grain free due to the wheat in it.

I also use JR grainless and Versele Laga for my pigs, I mix them together. I've also used Rosewood grainless that they like but that can be a bit expensive with 5 pigs as I've not found a way to bulk buy that. Their favourite is the Versele Laga for sure but they do eat the JR grainless.
