I've never bought hay from there but last time I bought my guineas some hay I got it from http://www.sphsupplies.co.uk
I got them a huge 50lb! box of hay. Had it for ages now and it's still fresh. Is Oxbow Timothy and my guineas love it. It's £57.50 for a big box and it will last forever. As long as you've got somewhere to store is worth the money.
... is £40 for 14k including postage, its a leafy Green Timothy (from Proper Fodd 4 Pets) though not as green as Oxbows but the guineas here like it as much! All profits from hay sales go to the rescue guineas. Its distributed by Bunny Basics.
Ok, I will give the hay a try. I have bought loads of cereal grasses and other stuff from there-it's a really cool site. I got my yarrow and plantain seeds today and sowed them O0 My piggies LOVE the grass and it grew so quickly!
That place does some nice hay - it's quite coarse though, so depends on the sort your furries go for. The good thing is that they pack their toys in hay too, so if you want to order a wooden toy from them, you get a free sample!
I use western timothy hay from the vets for my guineas when they are ill, recovering or in the past given birth, is smells yummy and looks really nice to, if you catch my drift, kinda makes me wish i was a guinea, but take my word for it , it dosn't taste very nice ;D lol
Timothy hay is very very green and smells delicious. You know you said my lounge smells of grass Hannah? well it is the timothy hay you can smell. The normal hay from the pet shop is fine but the timothy is extra special It is only for eating as quite expensive and I buy it online. Iwill send some up with your dad next time..remind me. Patchy can have a treat!
