After 8 days of having my month old guinea pig, I was on the bed with her and she fell of and hurt her leg. My mum who works with animals said there was no swelling or bruising, but 2 months on, when I stroke a certain place on her thigh area she lifts her leg up like it hurt. I stroked my other guinea pigs thigh to see if there was a same reaction but didn't react to it, does she have a broken leg?

Some of my piggies do this because it tickles them - they lift their legs and sometimes jump or kick!

If you are concerned maybe get her checked by the vet.

I would say if she was in pain she would let out a squeak when you touch her leg.

i think maybe after 2 months it may have healed itself
i currently have a piggie with a broken femur, he was seen by the vet 3 weeks ago who felt that it was broken but then x rayed it to check the type of brake, hes on painreleif untill his next check up in 3 weeks
the vet is confident that it will heal after cage rest, hes only 7 months so still quite small
we knew that it was broken as his leg and foot was very floppy from the brake down and he wouldnt put weight on it and was hopping about like a bunny!
if your concerned get it checked out

If you are concerned get your piggie to a vet.

If a fracture had occured at the time, she would have (usually) lost the use of the leg. As others said, piggis will sometimes lift their legs when ticklish.
