Hi everyone , ive have recently noticed that my male guinea pig has a flacky patch on his leg . He is 9 weeks old and we only got him from pets at home on Friday. Searched up symtoms and it says that it usally starts around the face ,so I'm not sure what it could be ? Should i take him to the vets

Personally I would get it checked out, if you contact pets at home they should cover the vet visit as it is still within 2 weeks of buying them. Id suggest a good check over of everything else while you're there seeing as P@H will be getting the bill, our 2 from there had ringworm but also had earmites at the time of buying them that wasnt picked up in store. They also had some more serious health issues but it took a few months for them to come to light.

But yeah, a good check over by a vet wont do any harm! Its not unheard of for ringworm to start on the legs, just less common I think. Brambles started inside her ear but she did also have a little bit on one foot.
