Is this fetching colour of purple for you though?🤔
Thank you for your generous offer, I do however already possess a FFF - somewhere. Bought for a do about 4 years ago and not worn since! In a very royal blue shade so not entirely dissimilar to yours :D
I'd rather wear a hat though - fascinators are a faff.

10 hours in and... I don't know lol!
Ollie is in a very odd mood, he's a right old grumpy pants today, completely ignored her and just stuffed his face with the wedding breakfast then chattered his teeth at her over the last piece of apple then tried to own the haypile. She ignored him, zipped right past him and ate the hay from right under his feet.
Ollie tried to possess various floor areas with teeth chattering which frankly was as intimidating as Bagpuss trying martial arts. She ignored this completely. Ollie, being a big saggy disabled middle aged pacifist, just snorted and sat down and gave her the pig eye. Then she got fed up and jumped up and down wheeking at him at him just like Tallulah used to do... then he looked sad and licked her ear. Then she ran away. So Ollie took a nap.
And... repeat. It's a maybe? Ollie just wasnt himself today, maybe its too soon, I think he wants his proper wifepig back :(
Hatty is confused, she's young and cheerful and her first ever date is a fat limpy old bloke grumpy because she isnt his dead wife... Hatty is remaining optimistic, she's very much a haybox-half-full character and she isnt nearly as disappointed as we are, I think Ollie is disappointed in himself now...
It's still a maybe I think but... he's not quite ready bless him... he needs to get a reality check slightly I think because he's a farty wonky legged saggy old fella when all is said and done and I can't raise his late wife from the dead, and there is a beautiful friendly ladypig very willing to marry him if he'll just get with the plot!
Bloody pigs lol... and bloody middle aged men too lol...!

We've definitely reached an impasse, no progress but no aggression, they are just existing in the same space looking mildly annoyed with each other occasionally and managing to completely ignore each other while sitting side by side... which piggy daddy says is a perfect representation of married life lol...!
I'm going to pop them in Ollie's cage and watch and wait for an hour then see how they are in the morning, they really aren't going to fight or do anything dramatic, both of my lovely passive boars and my lovely passive husband are the sort of blokes who protest against things by pulling a grumpy face then taking a confrontation-avoidance nap!

Oh Ollie, don't you know that a wifepig is very nice? By the way, if you aren't interested in Hatty, you could always stop by to see us!

Yours,

Clover and Stella

Hoping that Hattie grows on him soon. Poor boy is still missing his late nekid wife but he needs to find (a different kind of) love again. Come on Ollie, we’re rooting for you 😘

Give them time to grow into one another, you never know love may blossom, otherwise they sound like lots of couples rubbing along through life quite contented with their lot 😄

Oh Ollie, we all understand how much you miss the beautiful Tallulah but her story has ended now and yours will carry on. Hatty will be part of your next chapter if you give her a chance. ❤️

It's still a maybe, but a more interactive married maybe where they are taking it in turns to try be friendly then take offence and flounce off (if they had any doors, they would be slamming them!). It's hilariously married really, last night Ollie was in a tunnel and Hatty was in a corner, this morning Hatty was in the very same tunnel and Ollie was in a corner... and there are 2 identical tunnels of course lol!
Then I filled up the walk-in hay box and Hatty went in then Ollie went in, then a few minutes later Ollie tried kiss her, so she turned her back on him, then he tried sniff her bum, so she flounced (not ran, just flounced!) off with her nose in the air and... climbed in Ollie's vacated bed- "I'm not sharing the hay with him!". Then Ollie flounced off too and climbed into Hatty's vacated bed- "I'm not going in the hay is she isn't!".
So they are copying each other and watching each other and always preferring to get into each other's tunnels but... not speaking. They are now tackling opposite sides of the same hay cube while trying to pretend the other piggy isn't there.
I think... we are going to wait this one out and see what happens next time she comes into season, I assume she was in season last wednesday when they were desperate to get to each other through the playpen divider so... another 10 days maybe...?

Think we're getting there now, and Ollie's teeth chattering seems to be just hooman attention jealousy that after a month making a ridiculous amount of fuss over bereaved Ollie we are now making too much fuss over Hatty because she's new!
Piggy daddy just went to see them and made the mistake of stroking Hatty's face before stroking Ollie and that was a serious trigger event for the teeth chattering. So 2 of everything at the exact same moment lol!

The flouncing off pretending to ignore each other distance has diminished over the course of the day from 3 feet at breakfast time to about 4 inches apart tonight, and now if Ollie tries sniff or lick Hatty she runs away in a little circle to come up behind him and sniff and lick him while he's not looking then pretends she hasn't done if he notices :)
It's so much like teenagers lol!
Ollie thinks he's a bit too old for this but you only live once old chap and a gorgeous young lady turning up in your house and sniffing your posterior when you aren't looking is well worth a bit of extra effort, even if she has taken over your haybox and scent marked all your soft furnishings with lady wee!

I think things are going well, the cage stinks of competitive scent marking and they are constantly rearranging the furniture and generally trashing the cage and keeping me awake all night, Hatty still isnt sure why Ollie wants to sniff her bottom but he's doing lots of kind and hilarious things too like bringing her 3 whole hay cookies then collapsing at her feet in submission... I think we are almost married now, certainly she finds him very entertaining and loves his furniture lol!
