Was looking on gumtree for cages and spotted an ad for a rabbit and guinea pig needing a home.Boyfriend saw it and we decided we would go and get them and rehome them from my house. When we got there conditions were bad.Boyf fell in love with the rabbit and the guinea pig can go in with the girls after quarantine. He is paying any vet bills for the rabbit and building her a hutch and run. They both needed a bath .Piggy is petrified of people, rabbit not too bad.Gonna keep boyfriend away from gumtree, we are a bad influence on each other

What a wonderful man he is :) Its very sad that they were in a state, but they have now gone to find a home with the best of care. Have you given them names yet? x

He has named the rabbit Alice because she is white and there was a white rabbit in Alice in wonderland and I've called the guinea pig tiger Lily. The woman couldn't even remember their names. No emotion when I took her away.Had to leave a male rabbit behind. She has him in gumtree too, free as well. The strangest thing is he was scared of rodents before he met me because he was bitten badly by a rabbit when he was a child. Now he thinks they are cute

That's so sad that they were not cared about. Putting them up for rehoming was certainly the right decision. My first piggy was nameless too - the little love. Lily is a lovely name and Alice sounds very appropriate for her :)

Will post pics of piggy when she is less scared. Can probably get one of Alice tomorrow.

Free adds are terrible places for us animal lovers as our hart's rule our heads. My husband and I said we wouldn't look anymore. We are making our spare room into a pet room,it's nearly done and the animals are back in we just need a washable floor and new storage. We have the guineas ,mice and hedgehog in there so can't fit in anymore. So that ment no more pets! Until a while ago when on a free add site saw two female rats in very poor cage,no toys etc. They now live a very spoilt life in our lounge lol. So I completely understand. Congratulations on your new little ones.

We have a guinea pig room with a little bit of space for his tool shelf. Now have a boy rabbit that he got from pets at home adoption centre. You get free castration when u adopt one there at the moment so his plan is to get him done and he will go in with Alice. His responsibility for vets bills and housing for those two.Have told him no more, that's it.No more space.

Am down to one rat and she has a huge lump on her neck and dodgy breathing.Antibiotics not working for breathing so not looking good.Have list three in last couple of weeks. Not getting any more, too many health problems

That's the trouble with Rats we stopped keeping them for years because of their health issues unfortunately fancy mice are the same.
