I have 2 rescue guineas together both sows 1 of them gave birth today the other i dont think is preg i kept them both together for company.but since the mum gave birth every time i go into the shed the babies are hiding else where away from the mum and the mum is hiding with the other none preg sow i was a little concerned incase the mum was neglecting them a little as i normally thought the babys would be with the mum not else were so i made a choice to separate them and put mum and babies together and the other sow on her own:( but on checking the 2 sows ,,mum and friend the mum has plenty of milk and her pelvis bone is open has expected but the other none preg sow has smaller looking none preg teats but has milk as well) i have put this down to the babies sucking off her as well and stimulated milk production was i right in splitting them up the mum seems to be ok now and feeding the babies and the other none preg sows seems a lot happier what do you think?:{:{
