So i got up to use the bathroom, it’s dark it’s 5am and I’ll be going back to bed but.

I step on a bag that makes bag noises.

wheek wheek wheek wheek wheek. Lol

oh no you didn’t. Oh yes you did. I feel bad if I have a wheeker and I don’t treat them if they wheek but I know then they will just expect food every wheek so I ddid’nt give them anything. There’s plenty of hay and pellets time isn’t to morning.

what is it about bags that triggers a wheek. Are piggies now so well domesticated that Sound triggers them. Sometimes I move things during day and they stay silent. Other times a bag from a takeaway or a wrapper just trigger wheeking.

is just the one piggy who does this, just seems so confident as comes to the cage side and is out on the open quite a bit. The other is happy to sit in their hidey. The wheek is quite high pitched too. I wonder if it will deapen during piggy puberty. Like a human voice break

I do love to hear wheeking I feel at least one pig feels a connection to me even if it is just I want treat. I want food. It means they recognize I am of some benefit at least !

Our boys know the specific rustle or the lettuce bag and the sound of chopping! They really do learn very quickly which which sounds are associated with food 🤣

Morning feed sorted. They seem to love the pellets. I must say they do smell good with the black current scent I get. Though I won’t try one.

The wheeking started to pick up as I was up and about. I put the bowl down and chomp chomp chomp. Didn’t run as I was by side of cage.

happy-no longer wheeking greedy pigs! (For now)

I opened the door to the "shack at the back" (will be a lovely Conservatory next year) and I heard Christian wheek. The garage is joined to the house via the "shack at the back". I don't even have to open the personnel door of the garage anymore for my welcome morning wheek!
