Well I have an aeronautical one. He goes by the name of Cinder, Cinderella or Panda Pig.
He is now approximately 10 months old, is mainly Black and White with a splash of Golden. He is a peru or peru cross.
He lives with his 17 month old friend Blaze with whom he is inseperable, and currently weighs approx 1080 grams.
Anyway the start of the story begins with the older resident in the Top flat being found to have The dreaded, evil Lice. The common treatment for Lice is a bath in Lice 'N' Easy. Very simple you'd think. Wet, Shampoo, don't forget the face, leave for 5 minutes, rinse, repeat. Well the package came, and bath day was set for Sunday. In the meantime on the Friday Blaze began showing signs of the even more dreaded, even more evil Mites, I could get him into the vets, but not till the following Tuesday. I was going to treat him for Lice anyway, but thought..... Manuka and Neem, may help sooth his poor little back.
I decided to do the bathing on a Sunday afternoon while I had help as I knew my poor little boys would dread the bath.
I put a towel in the bathtub for them to sit on, turned on the fan heater, and made the tiny room very cosy. I was using the sink in the bathroom as it only had what i believed was 1 escape route.
First went Cinder and Blaze... Well they were the older pair by the dint of the average age of 13.5 months. They had been through the mite treatment bath before.
So ran the water into the sink in the bathroom, baby bath temperature, wet and lathered, left them in the bath. All well behaved.
Then came the rinse. Blaze being Blaze did not like it, but he was a very good boy. He was relathered and Placed back on the towel.
Then came Cinder. Flight Number one, somehow he lept from the Sink into the Bath. Put him back to finish the repeat. Flight number two, from the sink to the floor. Captured and returned to base for the finish and the repeat step.
Again Blaze was a very good pig. Cinder while it was being repeated had Flight number Three, into the Bath. When I say he flew into the bath I mean he flew. My sink is right next to the bathtub as it is a tiny room. He went into the opposite end of the bath. He was returned to the sink for the final time... At the end of that was Flight Number four, when he flew back onto the floor. Luckily by this time he was squeaky clean, with not a soap sud in sight, so he was caught wrapped, cuddled and dried. Blaze was being dried by my helper.
Anyway that was the end of the flying pig episode. Non story part. I checked Cinder for injuries and he is absolutely fine and came to no harm from his antics. He was supervised by two people at all times. He managed to get past myself, TWICE in his antics. Unfortunately I cannot bath them anywhere else due to space constraints. If I try on my living room and bedroom floor it is almost impossible, as they are carpeted there are too many places they can go and hide. Cinder is the only pig that did this. The younger two (average age 7.5 months) did try to escape but were caught easily.
