Hello again!

It's me, Latte, and Lexa's here, too, but she says I can do the typing; she'll supervise. Anyways, the humans keep talking about something called a "healthy pet visit" and taking us to the vet. Apparently this is happening tomorrow (Friday). I don't know what to think about this. I know they wouldn't do anything bad to us, but from what I've read here, the vet sounds scary! Is it better when it's a "healthy pet visit"? Will it be like when we got approved for adoption? The humans seem to think it's important that we have a vet that's seen us in case we need one later on ... which, I guess, makes sense, though I hope we never have need. How often are we going to have to do this "healthy pet visit" thing though? Maybe it's just this once like at the rescue and shelter?

Any advice for us?
Latte and Lexa

Dear Latte and Lexi,
We hope your vet visit is a good one. We do not like going to the vet for any appointment. Check ups or otherwise.
The vet once muddled us up Hamish went for possible hay poke and I ended up with eye gel, and Hamish didn't! Sooo not fair.
We like to play dead and pretend that its not our vet appointment, while keeping our paws crossed.
Good luck.
Wheeks Hector.

Dear Latte and Lexa

A "healthy pet visit" is just your Hooman looking after you. She wants to make sure that you are healthy and happy. Hoomans are very stupid. You know that you are happy and healthy its just that Hoomans need the nasty vet man/lady to prod and poke you just to make sure. It sounds that whatever you do you will be going. My advice while being prodded and poked is to make it as easy as possible for the nasty vet man/lady then the ordeal is over quickly. When our new Slave adopted Lexi and me, we went to see the nasty vet lady and we were very scared, we were prodded and poked and basically pronounced healthy but a bit underweight. I could have told her that! We were very still so the traumatic experience didn't last long.

Yours hoping the trauma is over for you both quickly.

Dear Latte and Alexa,
Our slave took us for a health check a few days ago.
We love Vet Laura because she thinks we’re very cute.
We were thoroughly checked over and were very good.
We didn’t wriggle when our nails were trimmed and Priscilla didn’t scream at all.
However, as we didn’t really like this experience we agreed that while our slave was holding Priscilla for her nail trims she would fill the slave’s hand with wee :D :D :D

Heehee ... did the human enjoy Priscilla's gift?

I just got my nails clipped a couple days ago by the humans, but I think they want the vet to do Lexa's because she has dark nails. I have three feet with white nails and one foot with light brown nails. The human likes to do my brown foot last, so I like to present that foot first,.

I'm glad to hear this is normal and other piggies go through this regularly. That makes it less scary. We will try to be good, though Lexa is pretty ticklish. I heard about one piggy that ran away from the vet, but it didn't end the visit ... she ended up still having to go through the rest of the examination after the cuddle break. Probably not worth the trouble, but I might try it anyways, heehee!

Thanks for the reassurance,
Latte

The vet's office was very scary! The people seemed like they might be nice, but they're new, so I was still wary, and it was a bit chilly, and they put me on this metal tray to weigh me, shone a light at my eyes, and looked in my ears and mouth. Then the vet person said that she couldn't see in my mouth well enough, so she squirted some water in my mouth; I drank some, but sone just ran out and made a mess, too. I didn't want that! Then she stuck the looking thing in my mouth AGAIN! I squiggled a bit on the cold tray, but after that I tried sitting perfectly still in hopes they'd forget I was there (they didn't:no:).
Lexa chose the alternate technique ... though it didn't really work any better. Lexa also squirmed on the weigh in, and also piddled on the metal tray (good thing she went second!). She also squirmed all over when they were checking her skin, though she is very ticklish and they were ruffling up her fur ... the silly tech person stroked her frontal the wrong way at one point ... silly human. She also peed on the table, the tech, and the vet during her portion of the appointment. Her technique for the mouth looking thing was to object loudly. They found her to be very melodramatic and said she was one of the loudest they'd had. Yay for Lexa! Though I don't think there was a prize ...

They said we were cute and sweet and assessed us to be healthy. The vet complimented us on being the perfect weight, and our humans were pleased by this and said it meant she wouldn't have to cut back our pellets. Like she would dare do such a thing!

When we got home, my human gave me a nice cuddle to reassure me that it was all over and I was staying at this home (how did she know I was worried? It was very similar to when I got approved for adoption). Whata relief; I like it here. She set me on a towel on the floor after, and I hopped into her lap to reassure her that I was willing to forgive her for this trauma. I did get a nice clean cage while I was out, too. Lexa had to get a clean up combing because of all the piddling at the vet's ...
The humans did finish the experience with a piece of lettuce 🥬! I love that yell of "pig-pigs!" I squeaked for her even though I was still recovering.

We are both quite exhausted after all that,
Latte and Lexa

We are very glad everything went well at the vets for you.
We also approve of all the peeing.
Love from Micah and Priscilla
