I'll start off...

My boss pig was too sleepy this morning to get up to remind the other two he is in charge so he decided to rumble strut at both of them from the comfort of his bed he had made out of the hay pile. I instantly started chuckling away to myself because I thought he looked like a chunky vibrating worm trying to wiggle from place to another. I wish I had it on video!

My OH picked up a huge mound of hay from the pen to take it in to the main cage and thought that it was a bit heavy for hay. A little foot sticking out told him that we had miscounted the herd and had forgotten one...

Fudge was transferred to the cage without further issues, but it was a reminder to not only check big mounds of hay but to count the members of the herd correctly!

We too had a miscount, it was yesterday though. We had brought all our piggies in from lawn time (or so we thought!) and topped up their bowls and hay. It was most odd that someone was not doing his usual 'I've never been fed before' antics, Barry somehow snuck out of his cosy back into one of the little wooden houses we have in the runs. Little sneaky monkey! :))

I have two females: Calliope (black/white/brown) is calm and sweet; Calipso (brown/white) is called "The Psycho" because she acts as a mad! always jumping, squeaking, annoying Calliope who had always been patient... till yesterday. Yesterday Calliope had enough of such situation and started "grunting" to Calipso, sent her away from all their three houses and poor Calipso could only stay into the tunnel. But Calliope throw her out even from the tunnel, pushing Calipso's bum with her nose... At that point Calipso stopped, raised her bum's hair and... peed against Calipso's face. Calipso won again...:lol!:

Yes today I went out to say good morning to the girls and give them breakfast and a chit chat and Judy comes out her bed and stretches like a dog and yawns LOL Ashe did make me chuckle and came wombling over to have a nose at the bowl and a chin tickle :)
I do love them x

Comet decided he liked thyme at dinnertime today, which is great because clearly I'm forgiven for whatever I did that put him off a bunch of his food. Course the pair immediately got into a squabble over who got to eat the specific piece of thyme. Generally Blitzen's becoming more friendly, too, he's no longer waiting for Comet to get food and come back to him, he's coming out to get his food himself. Which also makes me smile, because it's Blitzen and he's grumpy.

My idiots are a constant source of amusement, but today was a sort of relieved funny moment! This last fortnight has just been awful, and I've had to be out of the house for far longer than usual dealing with various things, as a result, the pigs haven't had the usual amount of time with me, and ended up being looked after primarily by my other half. Apparently this was wholly unacceptable, despite "fun dad" treating them to fresh grown lettuce and strips of carrot peel, because Sundae refused to eat his veggies and the boys got into their first ever real fight.

I was worried. Enough, in fact, that I stayed at home over this long weekend to make sure he wasn't ill and that if he was, I could get him to the vets quickly. Needless to say the little brat knocked off the sulk based hunger strike by Saturday night and has spent the entire weekend stuffing his face and screaming his tiny piggy head off for me whenever I left the room for longer than an hour or so! Considering this is the pig that loathes being touched to the point of running and scrabbling from attempts to stroke, it was kinda funny that he evidently cares enough to throw this much of a fit! I felt like a loved piggy mummy for the first time ever with him and got a giggle out of watching him inhale a dandelion leaf! He was so chuffed, I was allowed to stroke the ears, no less!
