She is booked in for two weeks time (Tuesday 18th Feb) as i am off all day that day and as the vets is rather far away i will need to be up in the area all day as the traffic is always awful.

Bless her, she will be so much happier then. In the mean time her Thyroid meds have been upped and we are trying to help her put on weight as her weight is dropping again. So its back on the Critical care and unlimited food. She seems off her hay, so i have ordered another different hay (her favourite) in order to incise her...

On another note Honor had another check up today and vet is pleased, her chest is clear and she is keeping her weight up and is allot more active so all the med's are doing the trick. :)

I just need to get Haven happy and healthy... Please keep Haven(and Honor) in your thoughts, its been a very tough few months.

Any tips on incising Haven with food and also keeping her weight up are appreciated. She has managed to eat some critical care this morning from a bowl (that's how she likes it) and also had some veggies. If needed i will top her up with CC by syringe later after work and also more veggies.

I call the vet next Monday with an update and will know more then :) but he said any problems call/bring her (well them) in sooner.

Hope all goes well with the op, am sorry to hear she is poorly again.

Glad Honor is responding well to her meds. At some point it may be an idea to see if John vet can switch her to Fortekor (Benazapril) as this is better for them long term due to the fact that it is much less harsh on the kidneys. My pigs started on Enalapril that was also harsh on the kidneys and my vet agreed to swap them over to Benazapril.

Thanks. Will mention it once I get Haven all sorted. :)

Fingers firmly crossed! I hope that all goes well! Thankfully, bladder ops in sows tend to be pretty straight forward (unlike with boars) and heal without problems.

Thanks. The cyst is on her throat...its because of her thyroid. Anyone else had a piggy with a cyst on the neck?

Sorry - blame it on my persisting headache. I have trouble focusing my eyes at times and misread occasionally.

Lots of love and Vibes to Haven, she is such a sweetie. love to Honor too, hope she continues to do well x x
