I just had a quick look on preloved (NEVER been on there before)

There were 717 ads for guinea pigs mallethead not all were for piggies, some were hutches etc, but a majority probably about 85% were for piggies. mallethead

I just feel sorry for the piggies who end up in horrible homes/situations.

I want to rescue them alllllll.
 
do not ever do a search for lurchers or greyhounds then - that is heartbreaking.

I learnt to not take the ads to heart, yes I would love to take as many on as possible but that wouldnt benefit me or the piggies, most of these pigs will have been compulsive purchases from a pet shop (need I name them rolleyes ) and not carefully thought out family pets. The only way to stop the adverts is to stop the constant mass breeding for pet shops, less chance to compulsive buy an animal so less likely to get bored with them in the first place.
