So, my mum was concerned that the hay 'spores' and faeces germs and stuff would affect my hearth or breathing? They've been in there for like 2 weeks but just wondering :)? Like is it sage to have them in my room for about 4 months without problems? xx

I've had mine in my room for nearly a year? I'm fine! - and I'm allergic to both them and the hay haha! xx

I had my old guinea pig snowball in my bedroom for years when I live with my parents and it never did me any harm. That was before anyone used fleece beddings and it was all woodshavings.

Only thing is don't expect a long lye with them in your bedroom. "Wheek wheek wheek" lol

Also I wouldn't think the hay would have spores as then it would be bad for your guinea pigs to eat either.

I have been keeping four piggies in my bedroom for more than two years and had no health problems.
However, since I started keeping their hay inside, I have started getting hay fever!

Ahh i see, well sure is good that you can use fleece now ;) phaha, indeed! i woke up to the piggies squeaking away this morning. Ooo thats a good point. Thankyou Julie M :) and 7squeakers, thanks you for your reply. Everyone has reassured my mum ;') uh ohh, thats not good. Keep lots of tissues near by XD lol x

My mum goes on about this too. I have had my boys in my bedroom for 4 years - I am fine.
