I brought my pigs indoors in a new C&C cage (pictures soon). I can’t believe how much they’ve come on. When they were in the shed they were lively and weren’t scared of me but now it’s amazing they’ve completely changed. Just because they can hear extra noises and are warmer they are so sociable. If you are considering bringing your pigs indoors definitely go for it because you’ll love it. Also if you have any C&C cage ideas it would be handy cause I need inspiration to make it pretty.

I love having my boys indoors. I get to be with them while I work and that's just so great. I found out loads about them by having them in the house
Yes I found out which pigs ‘own’ each bed and house and I find I see them lying down and sleeping a lot more.

Yea that's special. My boys are worrying me at the minute with dominance and one being stroppy lol. Just have to be patient and hope they work it out and go back to being peaceful. So at the minute they aren't allowed their houses - only mounds of hay till they settle down again. I keep tutting out loud absent mindedly because I'm frustrated with it :mal:

Luckily I have two girls and a boys so there’s no fighting. They all seem to respect each other which is great. I find mine will choose to sleep in their hay instead of their houses. Good luck with your boys.

My Harry is becoming dominant more. His legs go and he makes the weird noises. They haven't had a full on fight yet that I know of!

Mine live indoors all the time and I love being able to talk to them whenever I pass, watching them play, sleep eat etc.
Of course it does mean that and sound that could possibly mean food results in loud squeaking - even the door of the washing machine!

Nothing nicer than having them indoors. I used to have mine outside and I missed how I couldn't see the all the time! I love watching my lot and the rain/snow doesn't disturb us :)

I adore having my lot indoors. I agree that it is great to see who owns which sleeping place!

Mine know the routine and tend to wheek when I am due to go and feed them. C and c cages are wonderful and so versitile. Mine are on table tops which makes them easy to reach.

Ive found that my 2 boars (bonded) sleep more indoors than they did outdoors.I think they maybe feel warmer so more snoozy! :zzz:I feel I know so much more about them.I love having them indoors.

I’ve had my piggies in my room since day one and you really get to see their behaviour change! They now recognise the exact sound and foot pressure of either me or my mum (I still sound like an elephant but I’m lighter footed XD) coming up the stairs, if it’s my dad or brother they’ll run and hide. But for us, we can hear them wheeking as soon as we get on the first step! Also when I rattle
anything or touch any plastic bag they go mad. I love hearing it and I’d miss it if they were outdoors!

My guineas had always been outside (shed or garage) until 3 years ago, I could never go back to not having them indoors now. I love the amount of interaction I have with them. I didn't realise what complex little individuals they are.

Yes my guys only start wheeking when they hear me.

I thought I knew everything about my pigs but now with them indoors you learn so many new traits about each one.

Chippy is normally outside but as it's winter he's in the greenhouse and I noticed that when my dad went into the greenhouse chippy turned his head but kept eating and then I walked in and he was up against the bars wheeking his heart out for veg!

The thing was that when he was outside dad would pick a handful of grass to 'shut him up'. ( but I caught him talking to chippy the other day so i think dad likes him but is trying to be "manly")
