my husband put the idea in my head of swapping our bedroom with our daughters (as its bigger) so my piggies could have like twice the amount of space they already have :-) it turns out he was only joking but I love the idea.. I know I could have it if I wanted but my poor little girl! How mean of me to want to take my daughters space for my piggies lol, but I'm so tempted hehe

Being a father and Guineapig lover I completely understand your predicament, couldn't you in exchange for your daughters larger bedroom offer to redecorate the smaller room as a gentle persuader, maybe a new tv or dvd player? my situations a little different, I would like my Guineapig cage in my bedroom or even better downstairs, but my wife wont have them in our bedroom and my boy has just started walking and throwing things about, so Tubby has his own room which is good and bad.

:o My parents always had the bigger room anyway, so I don't find it that bad! haha. So when/if I have children I probably will as well...
So, as above ^ could always 'redecorate' or add a little bribe of something she wants.

I got the bigger room in my shared house because I needed the space for my cage

She is only 2 so wouldn't know any different but I still feel bad thinking about it

Well these things happen, We had to give up one of sofas to accommodate our piggies, So if anyone visits us there's only seats for 2.
