Hi, I have two anti-pill fleeces and one blizzard fleece. I have put them through the wash 4 times each. I do not use fabric softener or dryer sheets. Is there something I am still doing wrong? Whenever I try to pour water on is still beads up unless I pour the water with the cup already touching the surface of the fleece, only then does it actually absorb the water.

I’m sorry I’m not sure what blizzard fleece is. I suspect that the anti pill description may be part of the issue. I just buy any old polyester fleece, as I suspect anti pill is treated with something that stops it

I do know from bitter experience that some fleeces just do not wick very well and others wick after just a couple of washes.
Have a read of this guide about fleece which may help A Detailed Guide For Fleece Bedding

I always give my fleeces a good brush down with a rubber curry comb (like for horse grooming) to remove the floof fur and hay before washing and I'm sure the brushing really helps them wick, I'm very brutal with the brushing and I've never had any type of fleece not wick after a couple of brushes and washes, it really roughs up any surface coating!
