Could be a dust allergy if the poundstretcher hay was particually dusty...
how recently has this been happening...?
Is there any discharge in her nose or excessive sneezing or wheezing...?
might be worth while getting your pig checked over by the vets to make sure that he hasnt got a URI...

whats uri? its only been past 2 days. only had her since last sataurday nothimgwrong with her exept her eye shut

Is it closed because its gunky, or swollen or... you get the idea, a little description will help more :)

A URI is an upper respetory infection, abit like a piggy cold, but much more serious.

its just closed sometimes its a little bit gunky but not much her eye is open now but slitty

If theres any gunk it would pop to the vets. Also change the hay back but it might be a simple conjunctivitus (which one of my piggies had a couple of months back, very easily treated). Better to be safe than sorry and all that. Goodluck!

Cheaper hay from places like Poundstretchers tend to be chopped into tiny bits. This can be very dangerous for piggies' eyes in my opinion, as the small pieces can easily get in the eye if they try to hide in it, rather than the long-stranded type.

I think you need to get your piggy to see a vet tomorrow, in case the eye is now infected/damaged by the hay. The vet can check the eye for any hay, & if that isn't the problem, will check to see if it is a URI instead.

Please get a vet to check it urgently.

just checked her eye its closed a little just bathed it with salt water and shall clean her out today and put the good hay in if it dosnt improve by wednesday i shall take her to the vets

I would be very wary about waiting that long for something obviously serious. But at the end of the day it is your decision.

I recently homed a piggy and he had runny eyes and sneezes, taking him to the vets he was deemed fit and healthy and said his environment was too dusty... However it turned out he has hay fever he is allergic to the hay so although he loves it we have little hay and mainly dried grass and alternative bedding.
