Hay and pee

My great idea for putting a box for hay is certainly keeping the hay from being carried all over but one of the sows leaped into it, happily munched for a while, and decided to take a nap.

I'm hoping she won't eat hay she has peed on. Will she?
 
Don't worry if they choose to eat a bit of pee'd on hay, as long as you're offering them some clean hay as well.
I have litter trays with megazorb and hay, as well as a hay rack. My pigs quite often have a sleep in the litter tray, wake up, then chew on the nearest strand without getting up. I change the hay in the litter trays at least once a day because it gets wet quickly.

yeap, mine are messers too :D

as long as the litter trays are changed regularly those wee messes won't do any harm
