Sorry, it's me again.

Has anyone ordered meadow hay from hay and straw recently?

I usually get their ings hay or timothy hay uk but i decided to get something different this month.

Well it arrived yesterday and the pigs are not very interested in it. They like the green bits but it has barely any of them in. Is it always like that?

I have not tried it I am afraid. We use dustfreehay.co.uk if we cant source hay locally

Hhhmmm no it isn't. The last bag I had was very green and soft. But having said that the girls still prefer the Ings.

I think I have ordered 3 or 4 times from them and it has varied quite a bit. In fact we are coming to the bottom of the bags but now I am a bit reluctant to order if the quality has dipped again.

I know @Adelle contacted them after receiving a poor bag of Ings and found them helpful so it might be a good idea to contact them and explain.

I have had some a few weeks ago and it is fine. The rabbits have it, the piggies have the ings cos its so soft.

I once had a batch of hay delivered to my old address due to my mistake. They sent a new batch to me half price. Wonderful service. Well worth approaching them.

i ordered meadow hay from there, and it was lovely.last lot of hay i purchased from dust free hay,and that is very soft and green.i would ask the company to send some more,or maybe ask for a refund.

I ordered 10kg ings in about December/January and it was really stalky and yellow- the total opposite of how ings normally is.

I complained and they sent me a replacement 10kg of meadow hay..
It was also stalky an yellow and had dried thistles in which made me come up in welts and caused fudge to have an allergic reaction in her eyes!

Again I complained and they just refunded me the money. They where super helpful.

I have heard the ings is back up to scratch and was going to order when they finished this oxbow orchard grass but it seems there's still bad bags in circulation so now I'm not sure X

I'll be honest I've had really mixed batches of hay from them. And unfortunately more often than not first time round I've had really awful hay :-( Had some that was really fusty and smelt of mould. However each time the company have been amazing in sending a replacement bag.
I am starting to think they hate me ordering now though as I'm always having to complain.
When it's good the hay is amazing. Just wish it was right first time as it puts me off ordering. :-(

My last meadow hay was about a month ago and yakky, but the replacement was amazing!

I might contact them then, do they have an email address?

I've been digging through the hay trying to find nice bits and I found a few dirty, stuck together smelly bits. :vom:
