I've been getting Small pet select orchard grass hay, fantastic hay, have no problems with it, but I need to try to find something cheaper, came across Hay box, does anyone here use this company and would you recommend them and how big are their sample boxes?
Thank you

I used to use them (they changed their delivery charges and I was suddenly hit with unexpected costs from them unless I increased my order) . No issues with the hay itself though

I have timothy hay from them. It is sweet smelling and green and the guinea pigs and the rabbit all love it. It is their posh hay for the hay racks.

They have ings hay from hay and straw in Yorkshire for their litter trays.

We have a subscription of 5kg of meadow hay and 5kg soft cut timothy hay bags from Haybox every 12 weeks for my 2 piggies. I think there was only one bag of hay that had an issue in the past for me (one bag of meadow hay had half of it like burned hay/grass so had to throw it) since I started subscribing 5 or 6 years ago.

We also buy the special soft cut timothy hay from The Hay Experts. That one is what we give to the piggies as treats (they love it) as it's quite expensive for a 1kg bag.

I have the timothy hay on subscription - it's mostly good quality but there's been the odd occasion when it has been less so. I have up till now, had meadow hay from Box Full of Hay which is liked by my piggies but they have just put the price up to £35 before free delivery so I'm looking for alternatives.
Hope that helps

We use haybox, mostly good (our vet nearly always compliments it), with the occasional duff box. Pigs like it!

I've had orchard, Timothy blend and meadow from haybox. Lovely quality and the pigs love it. My RB pig Eris would only eat haybox hay, she'd lose weight drastically and picked at anything else. Their sample size is a very small paper bag, less than a kilo.

Hi @anyar.dris may i please ask if the meadow hay from haybox is soft and longstranded please? Thank you so much
The bag I have now (got it a couple of weeks ago) is a bit stalky but still soft, plenty of long strands too. Surprisingly though that both my piggies, especially Bodie, love it more than the previous batch they had.
