They make a big mess of fleece. But on the plus side the piggies love them. So I guess this hooman is a piggy slave.

Yes they love them. All they are is compacted hay. The lower cage now has a towel on too of the fleece. Lol. (Ps don't know why the thread posted 2x.) oops.

Mine love those hay cakes as well and yes a big mess on the vet bed. But as Peanut Butter tips his bowl (ceramic!) or digs out the contents flinging them everywhere, and drags the regular hay out of the hay tray, the hay cakes just add to the general mess my PB creates.

Fleece is not good for anything except laying down on! Hay, bedding, food, pee, poops and boar scent all get stuck in it. I try to keep only the fleece stuff for the exercise cage rather than their living quarters.

I bought hay cakes once when I went to a large PAH once and my piggies loved them more than actual loose hay lol I remembered them to be quite expensive? I just grabbed some from the PAH pick'n'mix section as I didn't know if they would eat them..shoulda gotten loads more!
