I used Milo for a comparison shot - This is the largest bag.

I use the Timothy and Rye - never had any problems with it.

My garage mice would love that! Just evicting them from an open bag now. They haven't found the sealed ones yet. Am about to buy a metal bin...

When everyone orders from Hay for Pets do they use PayPal?
Is it secure if you use a debit card instead?
I'm abit warey of putting card details in on website I ain't ordered from

I always use paypal. I link my debit card to it, so that it doesn't go on my credit card and I don't have to worry about who's seeing the details.

Thank you for the replies, i literally got an email from him as i was reading through your responses lol, can't wait to try it.

I had some Timothy and Rye a couple of months ago and it was awfull. It was more like straw than hay.
Bought a sample of Timothy and whilst it has some nice buds it does seem tough.

Also bought a large bag of meadow - smells nice - jury is out as to whether it's a winner with the pigs.

Going back to the sample bags - not the best value - really tiny bags. Was expecting them to be larger for £3.:x

I really want to get this for my two sow's. Could anyone tell me how much is in the 3 samples? I'd like to try them out.

Also, how long would a 9KG bag last?

My cousin ordered me the sample pack so can't wait to give it to them when it comes!

Based on the reviews, I ordered the biggest bag of timothy and rye! It's pretty big, but the level of wheeking from my girls at hay refill time has not been as high as for the tescos small pet bedding hay/alfala king timothy combo I was using (the latter brand was very green and they went mad for it but it is really expensive), I wonder if they are just adjusting...

It's not as green as the pictures posted and much longer bits (a lot more like straw in the bale I got) than I'm used to with the brands above.

I might have to revert if the girls don't seem so keen.

Service was very efficient though, arrived super quick even though it was coming up for jubilee weekend.

has anyone tried the Ings Hay? any reviews? :)
also, how large are the samples?

I use the Ings hay and my piggies love it! With it being hay, there is obviously a variation in quality throughout they year. The bag I have now is a bit more dry and less green than the first bag I had.

But the hay is full of lovely natural plants and herbs and smells great. Much less bitty and lasts a lot longer than the p@h hay I used to buy, and half the price! :)

The samples are a medium sized resealable bag each. Not a lot but enough to see if your pigs like them

Ok, thanks! :) I'm guessing that medium is maybe 1kg of each type of hay?

Not sure of size of samples, as I went for the largest bag on earth rolleyes

I might be eating my hat, there was quite a bit of popcorning this evening when i brought it out.

I guess it probably does vary through the year.

How's your piggy with the bad bottom by the way percypiglet, hope much better?

I got the sample pack of three and my pigs fell on the meadow hay. They nibbled at the other two, but kept coming back for the meadow hay. I've never seen them popcorn so much! I was previously feeding them Wilkinsons timothy hay, but the hay from Hay For Pets is completely different in smell and freshness. I bought a horse hay bag to store it in, which seems to do the trick.
