Thanks @Dindypig and now I remember how "coarse" is spelt rofl.

I have antihistamines but I find it hard to swallow tablets XD I also have a nasal spray, that seems to have settled it a bit :)

I've got two fussy guinea's, they seem to want tne meadow hay, we gave them the one from ASDA when I was deciding what to order.. they ate that lol...

I guess if you can buy things in bulk it works out better, (after checking they like it). When I only had two Guinea Pigs, it took ages to get through stuff. However now I have four I seem to be constantly buying supplies!

Yup it's cheaper to buy in bulk, I usually get their pellets monthly and their hay when they start getting low, not enough storage since moving to this small bungalow! We now have a "pet" fridge lol because their veg was taking our main fridge over. Luckily we got it for free from my Mum, it was brand new, never used.

I will do! Hopefully it should be here before the end of the week. If I/the pig don't like it I will try the Muldorf (sp?) one!

Haha, sorry guys. I've been out with mum shopping past couple of days, not had much chance to come on! Yes it arrived yesterday, massive heavy bale. Its LOVELY. Nice thing green stalks, smells LUSH and the piggies are enjoying it so far! :D

Erm. I ordered on tuesday and it came friday so not that long really ;)

@Flutterby I meant to ask, was the hay very dusty? This Timothy hay seems to have really flared my rhinitis up.
When I have put the nice green Timothy hay out, me and other half can really smell it.. He said other night " front room smells of guinea pig ".... I said it's their food not them !

As I'm getting into the bale I am noticing it is dustier than the ings and now Lyza has been set off by the dust again as is full of snot bless her. I'm not as impressed as I initially thought and think I'll order another bag of INGS when this hay runs out.

Ok thanks for being honest Ruth (I did get your name right?) I think I'm going to order a bag of Ings for 8 of the boars and a smaller bag of something else for the "teens". Do you think a 4kg bag would last 2 guineas a month or do you think I need more? The Ings usually lasts about a month between 10.

@artcasper I think you said you and your son have allergies? Why don't you have a go with the Ings hay? It was a lot better for me than the Timothy.

That's a shame Kerrie :( It all looked so promising at the beginning! The hay does smell lush and it's nice, but way too dusty for my liking! Where is your timothy hay from again?

timothyhay.co.uk

I just called http://www.dustfreehay.co.uk/ and asked how heavy their large bales were, she didn't seem 100% sure but said they were around 8kg, so I'm considering that and she said to go with the stalky as it has a better feed value.

Yeah. But my son has not been bothered and it doesn't really affect me I can just smell it really bad lol.... I guess we will get used to it... I keep it in the utility so it's out the way really... Still have my a bag and a half from pets at home to munch through.. They like the b&m one too..
