Has naybody had hay from www.thewillowwarren.co.uk ?

ive looked at their site and the timothy hay compared to some places isnt bad, the large box for 7 kg is £15.94 (i think) +p+p which is a lot..

if anybody has, how long does it last roughly would yopu say for 7 piggies, and is it good quality, because i dont wanna pay all that money out for something which isnt really that amazing.

i bought some from bunnybasics which was expensive and tbh i wasnt impressed, it wasnt nice and green or that nice smelling i bought it ages ago n it put me off buying hay from them again, it looked like meadow hay to me more than timothy. ive had timothy from pampered piggies which was nice and green and nice smelling, my pigs got like 1 strand each a day haha ;D mrs meanie with her money! but they liked that..

so basically i need soewhere thats not too badly priced, postage is reasonable, and its good quality..and all the farms around here only seem to do meadow..

yeah it was £9.00 + for where i live!

ive found www.thehayexperts.co.uk to be good with delivery being only £4.35 and thats with a fair few packs of hay..i might order from them, they have a big range of different hays etc

I haven't bought from there but I buy my timothy hay from SPH supplies and I bought 22kg . Fair enough it costs me 60 pounds but I hae 4 piggies and I have had it since April and the box is still full ( :o ) hardly any as gone, and I scatter it allover their cage every mornign and night and fill a big plant pot with it and a hay rack.

and as you can see in the picture, the stuff in teh cub is really green and it smells lovely and the pigs choose it over everything else I put down. It may sound alot but it was probably the best thing I ever bought, as ot will last me aanother 6 months at least.

aww cute pigger!

yeah it looks nice and green!

i'll have a look what sizes they do it in..I'm slightly limited for space as the piggies free range in half the shed and the other half has the rest of our stuff packed in lol so ive not got a lot of space for storage.

Yeah I know what you mean, well my piggie free range in the shed to an extent, as they are split up but still take up all the floor. But I have a hutch which they can go in whenever they want and the box sits on top of the hutch, it is big but not humongous, it fits nicely on the hutch. They do, do a smaller 11 kg for 44.00 pounds but the 22kg one is such good value for money.

I have bought the oxbow timothy hay from the hay experts before and delivery price is good as you can get a lot for the same postage price. There own oat hay is lovely but the burns one is crap, mine wouldnt touch it. Their meadow hay isnt all that either.

willow Warren Tim is mixed with Rye grasses, mine didn't like it. The bunny basics one they do like as long as its second cut- they eat first cut but its not the same ::) The Oxbow (green one) they like too :) though it doesn't look as appealing as the Oxbow its pure Tim and as good. Hay Experts Tim is mixed with Rye too, they buy it from the same farm as me ::) Not good having an online supplier on your doorstep when there's a hay shortage LOL! ;D
