Me again 🤣

I was giving Harry & Rolo pets at home long strand Timothy hay (it’s not compressed) which they loved. A couple of weeks ago, I purchased the P@H compressed Timothy and meadow hay and started using this. It was okay at first but felt the piggies were starting to sneeze a bit so felt it was too dusty. I still had some of the long strand.
But I decided that I would ditch the compressed stuff and get some selective science Timothy hay. I opened it this evening, wow! It’s green, smells good and the piggies seem to love it. Was still a bit dusty. But it doesn’t look much fun for them to be able to bury in- quite a hard texture. They love hiding in the hay box.

What can I use that’s good, dust free and also not too expensive?

Recommendations welcome 🙏🏼

I get my long meadow hay from a local family run pet shop. Do you have something like that near you? Or maybe you could get a hay bale from a local farm?

I get my hay from a Yorkshire based company called Hay and Straw.
The hay is lovely ( according to my piggies ).
Delivery is fast, and free
Thank you. What do you get if you don’t mind me asking? X

The hay and straw company ,online.has good hay.
Longstranded hay.its £19 for 9.5kgs of hay
Ings hay is from meadows near a river, its very green, but slightly more stalky. The meadow hay is soft...my guinea pigs love this.
I'm sorry I've seen Merab has commented on the same product.

I’ve also used the meadow hay from Hay and Straw Company too which was good. Recently I’ve been using the meadow hay from Hay-To-Be and it’s sweet smelling and long stranded too. It’s not dust free but it’s not too bad. There’s also a company called Dust Free Hay online too which I’ve had hay from in the past.

I get ings hay from hay and straw and timothy hay from hay box. Both rabbits and guinea pigs love both kinds of hay. I got the ings cos it is meant to be soft. They haybox hay is for their hay racks.

I buy a soft long stalk hay ( Cotswold soft cut ) and Timothy hay ( green but slightly coarse) and mix them together
The boys love making a hidey in it and eating it and my fear of haypoke is less !
I get my hay from The little Hay Company and they do a subscription with 15% off

I love the ings hay because the strands are so long.
