I'm just looking for suggestions for quite a specific problem....I have for a long time had silky soft hay from little hay co and it's always been great. However they always run out over summer and so I tried their cotswold sweet and was really disappointed, it was so short, almost like chop, and my pigs aren't overly interested in it. So I'm looking for an alternative. My issue is that I'm out at work all day and need hay that can be delivered in sealed plastic bales that can be left outside until I get home. Hay in cardboard boxes is no use to me in pouring rain! I'm struggling to buy hay in person from anywhere near me as it all seems so dry and brown and stalky. Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions, thanks.

I think natures own is in plastic bags. If you order a lot then they may put the bags into a cardboard box but it would still be protected inside

Natures own hay comes in compostable bags when ordered directly from them online , not sure how well it would hold up in a rain shower. They are really good at responding to messages, if you email with a question.

I get Natures Own. It comes in compostable bags that aren't always completely sealed, they can split a bit on the seams when handled. They wouldn't be downpour proof but should be okay in a shower. The bags of hay come in a cardboard box which would also offer some protection. I put my neighbour on the alternative delivery instructions in case I'm not home. We have a mixture of meadow and sweet green hay, it's the only hay I've found all my 8 boars will eat.
