Wasnt sure whether to put this in here or food! My boar Elvis seems fussy with his hay and after trying a few kinds it seems he will eat Oxbow. The rest of my piggies eat Burgess Timothy hay with Dandelion and Marigold which he doesnt seem to bother with. He is in quarantine at the moment but then will be joining 3 of the girls and I dont know what to do about the hay now. Should I put in 2 seperate hay racks, one for the girls and one for Elvis? I need him to eat his hay as he is only weighing 880g at the moment, he eats his veggies and dried food well

Mix it all up! You might find your girls take to the the Oxbow hay as well, of course. As long as there is plenty of the hay Elvis likes, whether mixed in with all the other hay or in separate hay racks, you can do whatever works.

Which Oxbow hay is he on? (Just being nosy!) My ten are on Orchard Grass, getting through a 22kg box at quite an alarming rate!

He is having Oxbow Western Timothy hay. Admittedly I can understand why he prefers it as it has a lovely smell to it, I'm tempted to change all of them onto it. I only got this one in as Danielle's (dan2sl) 3 piggies are coming here next week and thats what they currently eat :)
