Hi Guys

A question - I used to feed my piggies GrazeOn dried grass, as well as their normal dry food, veg and hay. Recently I've stopped giving them GrazeOn when I couldn't get it for a while. I was wondering - what is the difference between this and hay? Obviously the hay also acts as bedding, and GrazeOn is stalky and I feed it in large bowls - but nutritionally is there any difference - do they need both?

Thanks

Sophie

GrazeOn is very high in calcium so should be given in moderation. I asked about this a while ago. Ill go find you the link :)

I give mine Readigrass but they only get it every other day and they just get a bundle to share between them as a wee treat. Doesn't last very long once they munching on it though! :)

what about justgrass (what I feed mine on!) obv they get hay and continue to, but say there was a very bad crop of hay could the guineas live on justgrass or readigrass as a replacement - is it only grazeon that is high in calcium?

The link to the other post says the drying process makes it high in calcium - presumably all dried grass goes through the same process?

I'm happy to keep feeding the hay, in that case, and GrazeOn just for a treat! I stopped feeding in when some of mine looked a bit bloated, and haven't fed it since

Thanks

Sophie
