Hi, just looking for some advice, one of my piggies was at the vets today and they did the tape test. Said its mites, but they are out of meds. They said to get xenos (I am assuming Xeno) or beaphar from the pet shop. Ive seen Naqua on Amazon and I am wondering which one to get. I can't find Xeno.

I have seen other members say they have used naqua successfully so in the absence of xeno (which has been out of stock for a couple of years) I would use that rather than beaphar

I used Naqua but you can get Invermectin from the Los Angeles Guinea Pig rescue
They post it abroad - it took about 5-7 days to reach me

I found Naqua didnt completely get rid of the hay mites so I used Invermectin which did

I use Naqua Ivermectin Drops 1% from Amazon (this is what my vet advised). It’s a shame the price has skyrocketed but one small bottle goes a long way. Beaphar never worked in the past for me.

What I should have said is that I had to treat my piggies twice as the first treatment didn’t work but …it could have been a re infestation
My Vet wasn’t very helpful
