Hay over Apple treats

My boys enjoying their fresh hay over apple treats! Shock horror ha ha.. I let them out of the cage for some floor time and dried apple and they was squeaking for the hay instead! I really recommend alfalfa brand Timothy hay it’s so green and fresh, the best hay I’ve found yet and my boys love it!

I hide treats in hay. I change the treats each day in the treat box. The other day it was bits of fruit, then the next veg, fruit and veg mix and today was piggy treat day - beetroot treats and pea flakes. I'm always trying to find new ways of giving them something new and interesting to do!

Mine go mad for their hay too! I think when it is a good quality hay they thing it's the next best thing!

So just a little tray or similar filled with hay and treats mixed in? Brilliant and I guess it encourages them to eat more hay to get to the treats

It is great fun for the piggies just be prepared for alot of mess. Ill be giving my herd a tray treat later will post some pics on my herd thread.
