hay problem

when i give my guineapig susie hay she gets ictchy and loses
some fur is there any hay brands that would not have such an effect
she grew her fur back when i stopped useing the hay

Welcome to the forum.

Did you try different types and brands of hay, or just the one type/brand of hay? Did she need treatment for her hair to grow back and for her to stop itching? It sounds like it could be parasitic problems which can come from poor quality hay; pigies can get allergies but I've never heard of a piggie having this sort of reaction, it's significantly common for parasites to infest a piggie and cause such symptoms.

She needs hay for her health (to promote dental wear and digestion), even if not for her bedding, so at the very least please offer plenty of hay in a hay rack.

thanks for advice she didnt need any vet care her coat is great since i added vitmins
to her water i tryed 2 diffrent hay types i thought it was strange that she started to lose fur

Glad to help. Aside from her hay which you're reintroducing, what does she get to eat?

she has carrots apples lettures daily as they and the kids eat them guieapig food of which i tryed 3 brands i might add they and my bunnys are fussy on what mix i buy

Would you consider buying in a few more veggies for Susie? Foods like parsley, coriander, bell peppers, cucumber etc. (, your piggie will benefit from having foods that are much more nutritious and higher Vitamin C. A more varied diet will help to maintain good health and ensure Susie doesn't get bored of having the same foods repeatedly; just as impotantly it will also eliminate the need for the vitamin supplement.
