Hi everyone,

Given the craziness of the current times, and being self isolated, we are struggling to get hay delivered to us in less than two weeks turnaround. We did manage to get our hands on three bags of Pillow Wad timothy hay, and we have a bag of Pets@Home meadow and timothy combined (not the best tbh). My piggies don't seem too enthused by it, they normally go mad for their hay - they are eating some but not much. I have ordered some Meadow hay which they normally like and some Alfalfa King Timothy to try that - but it wont get here for a while!! Will they eat this rather than not if they get hungry? I am getting some fresh grass for them every day too. They hay smells fine, fine colour. Thanks for any help x

I think while waiting for your delivery any hay that they will eat a bit of alongside fresh grass is a good idea. It's hard times and to be honest if there is no other way to get the hay they will eat sooner your hands are tied. Just keep doing your best and hopefully in a few weeks things improve.

My lot aren't too keen on the pets at home meadow hay either but I know at a push it's there and the stores are still open if I run low and can't get another delivery quick enough. It's worrying times but as long as you are doing the best you can for your piggies that's all anyone can ask right now

If its any use, tesco sell small bags of compacted meadow hay, and its not bad stuff to be fair. If someone can go for you and just knock your door and leave it.

They have own brand and burgess brand in stock normally
