Oh that is cute, I need something that won't make a big mess(that could work), as they now have a hay loft, it shall be stuffed full of hay but I want to keep the oxbow hay off the ground so they don't wee and poo in it and it lasts longer.

That's a beautiful loft, well done! A fabric hammock would keep it off the floor so the expensive hay wouldn't get poo'd on. The hammock looks like something that could be done in a few hours if you are handy with that sort of thing.

I can't sew to save my life :)), but I know someone who can and maybe if I showed them a picture they could do it, or I can always buy one but it's very colourful too so I do like it :)... the hay loft was enough for one day I'm so proud and my boar fred keeps pop corning and running about like he's the cat that got the cream, it's so funny and makes it very worthwhile!

Think that is my 3 piggies cage finished with extension, they have more than enough room now!
 
I've loved the look of those hay dispensers. Very nice.

We are going to be using grids as a HUGE hay rack once we put Orson in as I'm topping up so many times a day - my puny hay racks are just too small!

I just want something less messy, for my ickle piggles... Don't know what to do. I read some reviews on that product and they aren't the best, It'd be good to find someone that has actually used it, apparently the bars are very small to get to the hay and the door opens on it's own, so the reviews say, and I don't if my ickle piggles will be able to work the wheel ideal, they aren't the smartest :red. Sssshh don't tell them I Said that! :)).

It is huge - but it needs screwing into something. It doesn't hook on bars like other metal ones. I wish I could use that in my cage as it's a great size but i don't have anywhere to screw it into.

You could use one like that with hooks on. I have three of those and no accidents. I also have those ball feeders that hook onto the bars too.

Don't know much about the wooden one. Looks quite cool - I'm guessing it's big.
 
The wooden one looks nice, but if you're getting a rack to prevent the piggies from pooping and peeing in it it might not be very sucessful. Mine would think it was a hay bed :)

The rolling thing seems fun for a toy but I would worry they would have to work too much for the hay and maybe not eat as much, if you know what I mean?

Do you have any grids left? I'm not much of a hay rack promoter, but I like the look of Laura CCC4s corner "racks". It seems to be just a bent grid that sits on the floor in a corner and cable tied to the sides of the cage. Fits A LOT of hay too, which I'm sure the piggies would approve of :)
 
I love those too they are genius.

Don't take up much floor space either.

I measured it and does look like it would be a perfect size, Is it easy enough to screw on? Would I be able to screw it though the C & C Mesh grids?

I only mesh grids left so won't work for a hay rack otherwise I would have done that!
 
Standard grids.

If you put correx behind it then yes I reckon you could screw it to that.

It's very big and holds alot of hay.
 
What about a mesh hay cube?
Stops the hay going everywhere and getting wee'd on.
I think hay can cause haypokes no matter how you store it. Best thing to do is go for good quality soft hay and check piggy eyes daily which I know you'd do anyway Joanne :)
 
The only bad thing I heard about those things were someone's piggy get stuck inside it.
I personally thought it was a fix. I don't understand how a guinea pig can crack it open, get inside it and then stick it back together again.
It seemed a little too far-fetched for me. But I figured I'd mention it anyway.
I personally don't believe it :{
