So first I thought I’d share my hay sock idea. I suddenly remembered that I use to do this for my pigs when I was younger. Stuff a sock full of hay and peg it up! My pigs seem to enjoy it and it’s a handy way to have an extra feeding station and keep things a little tidier :)

Don’t worry they also have a big hay tray :D

I also was scrolling through FB market place the other day and came across this brand new cat cave that was too small for someone big cat! So I bought it, only $10! It’s perfect for when I’m collecting all the piggies up to carry them to their outside run. Don’t worry I don’t use the handle :)) That would buckle under Spike and Mary’s weight!

I know my outdoor run is very small. But it’s better than nothing, I’m planning on building the pigs a new cage this winter (winter now in Aus) and then in the spring I will hopefully have saved up to buy or build them a better outdoor run. But for now it’s rare the weathers warm enough for it anyway :)

Hey the sock thing looks great fun for the piggies, will have to try that. I just can’t imagine Australia being cold in the winter, but you are in New South Wales? so I suppose you are quite south. Is the weather similar to Britain then, with seasons?

I live in Victoria, in the Pyrenees. And every moring this week it’s been about 1 degrees and frosty, so the mornings and nights are bitter. Winter started a month or so ago and recently it’s been about 10-13 degrees during the days. Luckily this week the suns come out which has made it much more pleasant and the pigs have had some grass time once it’s dried off in the afternoon.. todays going to be 14! Yay!
Yes we have seasons like the U.K! Which is great, as I do like the change in seasons but I HATE the cold. It’s bittetly cold here and I’m suffering lol. This is my first winter in Victoria and I’m shocked it’s this bad!
Should have moved to Queensland..that’s always hot haha!

It looks beautiful. I don't mind the cold as long as I know it's coming and I can dress up for it!
