Hello,

I've been looking, well attempting to look, for an online hay supplier can anyone recommend one?

I don't mind spending quite a bit on specialist hay that i can sprinkle but for the usual hay i would prefer cheap as possible.

:)

Many thanks!

I'm sorry I cant help, you may have already tried this but have you looked at local equine centres? Only horsey people tend to be fussy about their hay so its usualy good quality and is cheap because they stock it in bulk. :) Just a though, sorry if its no help.

Thank youuu will go with the mum in law when she gets Ellies feed and hay :)) Haha i have no idea why i didnt think of that :))

Thats ok! I know thats where the shop i use gets its hay from. I dont like going in there as they sell animals but i cant sorce hay that good anywhere else. :/

hmm can't help you with the 'cheap' side of hay to be honest.
I spend around £30 a month on hay from hayforpets, I bed my piggies on hay so I need alot more.

Going to your local equine store sounds like a good idea!

I use the Hay Experts quite a bit and their service is really good.

I usually go for Oxbow hays, expecially the Orchard Grass as it is always the first to be eaten and they all seem to love it, whereas other stuff they'll love for a few days then start to leave bits. Willow even popcorns sometimes when she knows it's coming! :)

I get most of my hay from the local equine shop. £6 for a bale and it lasts just over a month. I'm going to get some hay from hayforpets when my student loan comes in and see what they think of the Timothy and Rye as their main feed hay and keep the cheaper hay for bedding. But I definitely can't spend a fortune with 20 to feed...

My piggies actually really like the farm hay. It's not the best from my point of view but they certainly don't seem to mind it!

we have an equine shop quite close, am going to look there this weekend, just not sure the hay wont have any bugs in it,or not be good quality.

What i would say, is (if you have the space for a bale) DONT tell them its for piggies! They give you the rubish stuff. If you pretend its for a horse they get you the good stuff. As i said, the horsey people round here are very fussy.
