I've only about a week's worth of hay left, and I was wanting to order some, so that it will hopefully come as soon as the travel gets better, but my normal supplier (TimothyHay.co.uk) isn't taking any orders. I remember reading someone's post about another supplier who had a good selection at £18 a bale. Does anyone remember who this is ? I've tried searching posts, but there are so many that mention hay and hay suppliers that I can't find the one. I think it may have been you @Janice C who spoke about this company , but I could be wrong.

I got my last hay from Vetuk. It came next day but who knows with this weather. Can’t remember offhand the price but it’s soft meadow hay and they all love it!

Thanks Janice -I think that was the one. I know it won't arrive in the next few days, but I want to get it ordered as soon as I can, so that, hopefully, it comes before I run out and need to use Tesco's lol

I get my hay from. Ordering-Page.html the same as Flowerfairy. Great quaility and value for money a 9kg bag it £18. much better and fresher than store brought hay and they are quick at delivering too.

Its from the hay and straw company
Hay and Straw
I've been using them for the last 4 months and can say, not had a bad batch off them yet. Order it on Monday and should be with you on Tuesday.

Thanks very much everyone, I've ordered a couple of bales from the hay and straw company. Hopefully it'll get here by the middle of next week. X

Is the hay from the hay and straw company like it is in the pictures? I bought a sample pack last year and it was pretty brown but I assumed it was just due to being a small sample pack that had possibly been laying around a while. In the pictures it does look really nice and id buy larger amounts if it actually came as pictured!

I've always been happy with the meadow hay from Hay and Straw - always smells lovely and is soft too.

Oh no! I'm getting ready to order more from them too! My girls are so fussy with their hay ...

It's only temporary because of the horrendous road conditions in central Scotland (they're in Stirling), I just wanted to get an order in so that it will be here as soon as possible.

It's a shame they're not accepting orders on the understanding they won't be delivered in the usual timescales. Will just have to keep checking the website.

i order too much hay,but i cannot run out ! with 25 piggies it goes fast.i do get bales of hay from horse feed place locally for use as bedding and playing in !

I'd love to be able to store more, but I'm pretty limited on space! I've already taken over the 'dining room' (read piggy room) and a big space in the garage! So it's one big bag at a time for me ...

Likewise. My piggies have the spare bedroom, and I store their hay and other bits and pieces in the built in wardrobe, so a couple of bales is as much as I can store.

The one I got from them last (20/2/18) is still lovely and green and my girls popcorn whenever its going in their hutch.

I had my first 9k from Timothy Hay.com, it’s excellent quality. But as you know they are not dispatching currently, so I’m going to order from Buy Hay, but don’t know what rye hay is please, and is it ok for guinea pigs?
