Hi everyone,
I recieve my hay from Timothy hay and the quality is always good but recently I have been thinking that I could do with a bit more as I do have 8 pigs lol.
I have been looking at haybox.club which offer time slot deliveries. Has anyone used this company before?
Also I am considering choosing the meadow hay so I can give my piggies more variety or should I just stick with Timothy?

Thanks in advance :)

@Emmamarie123 You could give meadow hay as the majority and timothy hay as a treat or smaller amount.

There's lots of good meadow hay suppliers out there. You could try your local farm shops or farms to see what their quality is like.

Dustfreehay is my favourite

They now also do bigger bags which aren’t quite bales but suitable for indoors and cheaper than per box. I think the bag is 7 kg or so, but it’s breathable bag so no mould

I'm using my local farmshop now for meadow hay. Its really fin hay though

I’ve just had a delivery from haybox as I’d like to cut down on the number of plastic bags I get through but to be honest, I’m not sold on it. The hay is very long, but is courser and less green then Nature’s Own Pets who I currently use. I’ll use what I’ve bought (2kg meadow) but I don’t think I’ll use them again. I know hay varies through the season but the note in it says it’s top quality, peak-season hay, best of the beat stuff and it’s not as nice

I've been buying either Ings hay or the rye and timothy mix from hay-and-straw.co.uk. I buy the 9kg bag and it is always very good quality.
UK hay has generally not been very good due to the very hot summer last year.
I was buying from Nature's Own but the quality dropped off towards the end of last year and it was like dried grass cuttings. I guess from the comment above from @Guineapigfeet that the quality has improved again.

I was happy with the box I had from haybox. It was lovely and green. Just couldn't get through it quickly enough with only 2 pigs.

The hay I got from haybox was wonderful, maybe the smaller boxes aren't bought as often so sit around longer? I'd send them a message, they may send a better quality replacement. My only issue with it was my pigs loved it so much I got through it far too quickly which would be fine if it were a little cheaper. We currently use the Ings hay from hay and straw and even our vet commented on the good quality of it when we took Ivory in to have her breathing checked.

Decided to go with haybox and everything seems good l :) great quality and the pigs are happy

Bit the bullet and ordered 10kg from haybox. It does seem better than the smaller box I bought. Pigs still love it which is the main thing. I’m still buying my other hay too, but at least this should cut down my plastic by some way
