Hello!
I have a little question about hay type for hiding playing and eating. I'm afraid that if the hay is to hard or thick, because it can cause hay poke. I use timothy hay, so I wonder if I can use that type to put in a little tray to let them play and hide.
Right now, I'm only using timonthy hay for their food, not for playing, ect.
Also, what type of hay do you guys recommend for playing, hiding, and eating?
Thanks!

I use meadow hay in their trays and for them to dive/snuggle/play/eat. I use Timothy hay in hay sacks so they’re not running face first into it

I use meadow hay for my piggies for eating, playing and sleeping in. I've found a farm shop about 5 mins drive from my new house that sells big farm bales for a fiver. It smells lovely and sweet like honey.

For some weird reason my piggies didn’t like the Timothy hay I gave them, they never ate it and that’s how one of my girls got a hay poke. It can be quite sharp. But they love meadow hay and it’s much softer than Timothy
