This is going to sound disgusting but when I put Connie and Eliza back in their hutch, I noticed that Eliza has a small piece of hay sticking out of her bum. I couldn't get hold of it to pull it out. Will it come out on its own accord like when she has a poo? Also, can it hurt her or anything? I have never noticed this before but I imagine it's quite common

Mine always have this and some are really long strands...lol You need to pull it out if you can I never leave it just incase it gets infected. Helps if someone holds piggy and you remove the offending piece!

Lovely eh! :(|)

Lovely indeed, one of those things we get used to my boys often get hay in their bits bless them.

Yep Eccles who is a 10 month old boar is always doing it! I never really have a problem with the girls! :(|)

Be glad you don't have boars! archie once had a really long piece stuck to his dinkle i had to get it out and clean it as it was all red and sore looking.. the smell was utterly vile! lol after i removed the hay the redness went down and he was fine.

My girls never seem to get hay stuck into them.

I have never had boys before, get my first two from Bettypig on Saturday. Good job I'm not squeamish! I'm sure they will be little darlings?

Ahhhh, the things we do (as dutyfull Mummies) for our little darlings.

Yes, the boys have often something stuck up theirs and it's such a "pleasure" to clean them.

At least you know it won't get infected when you removed the offending object and they'll be fine.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who this happens too - my boys are always getting hay stuck up their bum! :(|) Truffles is the worst, once i pulled a very long bit out and the smell was awful! He didnt think much of me pulling hay out his bum!
