Just doing a cage clean, and i picked up one of my boars, and between his pom poms was a peice of hay.
It was stuck a good half an inch up his bum (ouch)
It pulled out without any problem.
But how the hek did it get there in the first place , any thoughts :hmm::hmm::hmm:

:D It must have fallen out of his hay rack, or whatever the hay is in, and he has sat on it! Boars can get stuff a lot worse than hay stuck up there! Do you clean his bum regularly to remove any stuff stuck up there?

Yup l check them all over every time l pick them up.
Particulary sow, for vulva stones

Ours always have hay, fur or worse stuck up there. They tend to do a fair amount of dragging their bums around the floor to show off, hence getting all sorts stuck up there!

A regular check and clean up does just fine, but I agree you do wonder how they do it sometimes!

Yes all our boys have to be 'sorted' out each day to remove any debris they have picked up while running around.

I think they drag their bottoms on the floor to put the scent from their grease glands on it to tell the others to stay away.
Unfortunately I don't think it works very well cause a few minutes later another one comes along and does the same thing :lol!:
