Today my friend took me to a local horse show. I remembered reading somewhere that curry combs for horses can be used for getting hay and fur out of fleece, so when I found one for £1.50 I thought I may aa well give it a go! We don't have an outside area, so have nowhere to shake/beat our fleece, so the hay sticks like crazy, even after a wash! Anyway, I've just tried it out and I'm really pleased. It's not completely hay free but it's a thousand times better than it was! Will try again when the fleece is dry to see if that makes a difference. Still, glad I spent that £1.50, as my piglets will have a much nicer cage from now on! =)

:D Curry combs are used for cleaning other items of horse grooming equipment. (You could use the rubber one on a horse, I suppose.) I should think that @artcasper has the rubber version of the curry comb. They are round and have three circles of rubber teeth. The metal version would tear a fleece to shreds!

Sounds a good idea. I normally hoover the fleece then shake the remainders in the garden but my dog goes mad to eat what's left on the fleece haha!

I do use the rubber curry comb on my ponies :) Especially when they're shedding.
They're good for cleaning hair off saddle cloths etc. and off my clothes when I have been brushing them during shedding season.
For a cheap bit of kit they have many uses :)
