I have heard hay can go off, is this true ? ::)

Hay doesnt have moister to make it go mouldy or anything so how can it go off if it can go off ? :-\

I think if you keep it in a plastic bag the bag could get like..that damp stuff that forms on the inside (the name of which I've totally forgotten..ahh xx0) could create mould?

Yep hay can go mouldy from moisture in the air, and when it goes mouldy it can be very toxic for unsuspecting piggies, so use a clip on the bag and always give it a quick sniff before giving the pigs it- it will smell very strongly musky if it is off. I had a mouldy bag last week and I almost didnt realise.

Hay kept in plastic bags might 'sweat' if there is any moisture present- also hydrating for lice.
Hay can also be dusty which I consider to be 'off'.

I keep mine in the bag it comes in from P@H is that ok? Normally lasts bout 5 - 7 days.
