I am very pleased to tell you all that I have finally picked up my two boys. With the help of my partner as they got a bit wriggly. My Granddaughter got in their pen with them while I cleaned out their cage. She really loves them.
I just wanted to ask does anyone give their Guineas the Nature's Own Timothy Rich 5 a day Hay?
Is it okay?

I’ve used this hay and my pigs seem to really like it.Thry also love the sweet green hay that nature’s own do.

Congratulations! Glad you have received a helpful reply above :) Be lovely to see some photos of the piggies once they have settled in!

All the Natures Own hays are lovely, I feed mixtures of them all the time.

Oooo I’ve been looking at the natures own hay and am about to order some. Would you say the meadow hay is a suitable bedding hay and the sweet green is more for eating?
Thanks

Hi, my piggies love that hay. For some reason two of mine won't eat the flower mix unless it's in their food bowl . The other two will eat it all... also found really nice one on zooplus.co.uk.
Enjoy your piggies!

I buy meadow hay as bedding, Timothy hay as feeding and alfalfa (if low temperatures are forecasted etc). However, don't use alfalfa often. it's lovely, tasty and full of goodness, but also very high on calcium.
Stick to meadow or Timothy hay as daily intake.

@Guineautopia I have found both hays to be soft enough for bedding and burrowing. They have under bed storage boxes with an access hole cut in for hay so they eat their beds! I don't have hay racks, the only time I put hay in a seperate small box is if it's a hard scratchy timothy like Wilko or Burgess which they love but I'm afraid of eye pokes. Last time I ordered the ordinary meadow and the green they both looked the same so this time I just ordered meadow and it was still green, I guess it depends on which cut it's come from.

@piggieminder Perfect, that’s really good to know. My boys are very partial to nice soft meadow hay. So I think these are a very good option and at a good price. Thanks so much
